Savoury Carrot Stoemp

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 600g of carrots
  • 800g of large mealy potatoes
  • 15cl of light cream
  • grated nutmeg
  • salt and pepper


  • Peel the potatoes and cut them in pieces. Peel the carrots and slice them finely. Put everything in a pan, cover with water and bring to a boil. Let simmer for about 25 mins.
  • Drain the vegetables and put them back in the pan. Add the cream, salt, pepper and grated nutmeg. Mash with a potato masher until you obtain a homogeneous mix.
  • Serve hot, with a bit of mustard, to accompany a quinoa meat loaf.
Tip: if you use organic carrots, no need to peel them; just wash them thoroughly.
